If you missed our summer holiday Play Days and haven’t been able to get to any after school Play Walks, then to celebrate the autumn we have organised a final Play Day in the October half term.
Join us on Thursday 27 October to explore the hidden gem called Charter Wood. If you live in Braiswick Park, this is a ‘Wild Wood’ right on your doorstep!
Play Days are free and are led by a Forest School leader. Enjoy playful exploration in a local green space.
Join us outside the play area on the recreation ground off Bergholt Road at 10am, noon or 2pm. We will walk, play and explore to Charter Wood, where you can then play for as long as you like.
If you live on the estate and want to meet us nearer the wood, meet at the top of the subway that goes under the railway at the corner of Axial Drive (near Propelair Way) at 10:15, 12:15 or 2:15.
If you are bringing a buggy please be aware there are stairs to get down to the subway.
If you would like to cycle from the Mile End area, join us and we can to show you an off road bike route to Charter Wood. Meet outside Go Outdoors at 9am, 11am or 1pm.
To make your own way there, you can plan your journey or route by foot, bike or public transport using our online journey planners.
Hope to see you there!
